Sunday School in May: Change the World!
We'll be drawing on fun and interactive children's resources prepared for the United Methodist Church's "Change the World Weekend" (May 18-19) -- a church-wide effort to get involved in our communities -- to talk about how kids can be change
agents for God, too.
Week 1 - Change Agents Learn About God (Are Changed by God)
Week 2 - Change Agents Obey God
Week 3 - Change Agents Tell Others About Jesus

Sunday School News
Hello! My name is Amy Erickson and I have taken on the exciting job of teaching Sunday School here at Windsor Community UMC. I grew up in the Presbyterian church and remember being so nervous and scared going off
My goal is to know the kids and be able to have a relationship with each of them so that we may all grow in God’s love together.
I look forward to the coming months and all that we will learn together. Please feel free to email me: evansmom2004@gmail.com if you have any questions or concerns.

Check out our Charlie Brown Christmas Tree on the Town Green!
We had a ball decorating on December 2nd, 2012. The tree will remain on display throughout the holiday season.

Charlie Brown Christmas Tree Grove - An annual event - watch for update every fall.
The kids of our church are given a donation of a Christmas tree to decorate for Windsor’s Charlie Brown Christmas Tree Grove on the Town
Green each year.
The theme chosen for our tree in 2011 was “The Nightmare Before Christmas” (an animated Disney movie) and 2012 is "Under the Sea". Every year young volunteers to help decorate the tree. If you would like to donate items and or help decorate see Amy Erickson or Bev Bailey. Watch for Sunday bulletin reminders.
***Please join the Sunday School Kids on the Sunday before the grove goes "live" from 2 - 3 pm on the town green to help us decorate the tree.***
Thanks for all your support.

Sunday School "Operation Christmas Child"
Our Sunday School kids are filling special 'shoe boxes' with school supplies, toys, hygiene items and much more. These boxes will benefit children in the U.S. and around the world in need during the holidays. You can help by taking home one of these special boxes and returning them on a Sunday in mid-November.
Several of the 30 boxes sent by Windsor UMC last year were tracked.
Here is where some of them went:
Peru: LaSalle and Turgeon boxes
Philippines: McAllister, Turgeon and Turner boxes

Sunday School Team-Teachers Announced - October Branch 2011
We are glad to announce that Amy Johnson and Jessica Bailey will be team-teaching Sunday School this fall. Amy and Jessica will be assisted as well by our Adult Sunday School Volunteers.
This is a terrific model of Christian Education for our “One-Room Sunday School” since it combines the efforts and wisdom of all the generations. With this kind of commitment, we are best able to share the Gospel message of Jesus Christ through his love and grace for all God’s children.
A Special Thank You
We especially wish to thank Malenda Hayes for her devotion and commitment to the Windsor UMC kids over the last couple of years. What a gift you have, Malenda--our kids are better persons because of your efforts. |

Jesus said, "Let the children come to me."
At Windsor Community United Methodist Church all children are welcome! We love to have children in worship, so we have them join all of us in the sanctuary for the beginning of the service until Children's Time.
During Children's time, the kids are invited to the front of the sanctuary to hear a short message about the gospel lesson of the week. Then they are excused to our Education Building for Sunday School. There children pray together and learn stories from the Bible to help them grow in the Christian Faith. We have fun learning our Bible lessons with hands on activities like crafts, games and songs.
Come and join us and Jesus!

Jesus said it!
I Believe it!
And that's all that is Important.
