WCUMC has paid off all the indebtedness on its property, and that calls for a celebration! The United Methodist Church’s official Book of Worship actually has a liturgy for a “burning of the mortgage” — which will happen at the close of the 10:30 worship service on Sunday, May 5th. Since that also happens to be Cinco de Mayo, a taco bar lunch will be served.
