COMMUNITY CHRISTMAS DINNER SUMMARY - Dec. 10th, 2011
The cooperative effort of the Windsor Care Network served 315 sit-down dinners and 190 take-outs on Saturday, December 10th at the Vineyard of Faith Lutheran Church.
Forty volunteers from 8 churches and non-profits came together to produce this event—a good time was had by all.
Many thanks to those from Windsor UMC who came to share a meal or share of their time by serving, or contributed financially. This event was a true blessing to our community; many hands reaching out to build fellowship.

2011 Annual Conference Session
Summary
The work of the California-Nevada Annual Conference was completed on Saturday, June 18th in Sacramento. Thanks to all those who prayed for this ‘holy conferencing.’
Bishop Rev. Werner Brown presided over the proceedings at the Convention Center. Rev. Adam Hamilton from the Church of the Resurrection in Kansas City, delivered the keynote address entitled “Leading Beyond The Walls: Leadership, Worship, Preaching & Evangelism.”
The big Administrative news is the re-formulation of Apportionments. Windsor Community UMC will see its share reduced by $10,000 for 2012. Direct billing for Pastors Pension & Benefits is now in place. Windsor UMC is on track to pay this new amount in full.
The Connectional aspect of Conference was pursued with vigor. Lay Delegate, Bev Ewoldsen, and Pastor Mike schmoozed and renewed old friendships and new acquaintances.
Thanks to all of you for providing the resources to be able to attend this event.

They have recently expanded their floor space, so they are happy to accept your gently used donations.
